CLM: What do you think of the whole craig murray debacle?

RONA: Ok. I think it’s despicable that civilize societies practice torture and incommunicado detention. Everyone should have a right for freedom and a free trial. No one should be above the law, especially these human right abuse perpetrators. It’s sad that a country like UK and USA endorses a country like Uzbekistan to torture. It’s a complete reversal of policy of the 90s. When they condemn human right abuse of asia. Craig Murray is a hero for fighting for what he believes. I understand he was initially pressured to quit with allegations of “misusing the embassy range rover” and “paying a higher rate market rate for local embassy staff”. He suffered a nervous break down soon after. But he became enlighten to fight for justice and human rights soon after. On a side note he divorced he’s wife for a young Uzbekistan girl. I guess not all men is perfect and he’s probably protecting her. But still…..

CLM: Isn’t it the usual way people turn to fighting for a cause. You know usually people are not willing to risk their necks to speak out because they are afraid of losing their comfort zone. Only when they have nothing to lost will they give 100% to a cause.

RONA:That’s true and sad. I’ve to admit I’m have plans to go shopping and drinking with my friends later on today. I know it’s selfish but that’s the way most of us is programmed to be. But at least in my heart I know about the plights of the abused in the world, and hope to one day make a difference.

CLM:That’s a start. A though just occurred to me. Most activist are aged 45 and above. I think it’s because they are at the prime of their lives and they realizes that they cannot bring their wealth and asserts to heaven. Thus they want to make a difference in the world before they go, to leave a name. Another though just occur to me. Most charities donors are at that age bracket too.

RONA:You are Right at that. Just to add another point. I also think people at that age are more financially stable and they kids are old enough, thus they have more money and effort to give. Also younger people like you and me have they whole life ahead to think about.

CLM:Going back to Uzbekistan did you read about what craig murray and other people have to say about it and what do you think?

RONA:Well I’ve read he’s speech in York University regarding he’s experience in Uzbekistan. It’s really shocking that slave labor conditions still exist in our modern world of pipeline assembly, robotics and globalization. He said that Uzbekistan is the second largest cotton producers in the world, and cotton farms sell cotton at only 3% of the world market rate for cotton to the state own companies which exports the cotton. This means the state owned companies get 97% profit margin before operating cost and the cotton farm workers which number 16 thousand in each farm gets paid peanuts. He also says that the cotton workers are slaves that can never leave a farm. If you’re born in a farm you die in a farm. Uzbekistan has strict population movement policy. I’m so glad I was born here in Singapore.

RONA:He also claims that the prime minister of Uzbekistan partially owns a small percentage of the state own cotton export company. Thus he’s a getting rich at the expense of other’s misery.

CLM:So Uzbekistanis are the new nigger cotton picker slaves of our time. How about the torture?

RONA:It’s despicable. Did you see that picture of the man who was boiled alive. Craig Murray claims that out of 26 millions citizens, 10,000 people are being wrongly imprisoned and tortured. Anyway I think I’ve got to go now. Happy new year to you yar.
